Gas Industry Registration Scheme (GIRS)

This is a scheme administered by Lloyds Register that enables Consultants with the relevant expertise and processes to achieve accreditation as competent Gas Designers, Project Managers, Auditors, etc. We are fully accredited for Design under the Scheme and are currently en route to achieving the same status for project management. Our current registration means that we can design new gas infrastructure operating up to 7barg for installation by Utility Infrastructure Providers ,which is then adopted by Gas Transporters without the need for the extensive detail normally required.

Services available to Developers

  • We will carry out gas network design calculations, design the pipe size and capacity, route the pipe and specify the meter, also providing details of all the required materials.
  • We can deal directly with Utility Infrastructure Providers on your behalf, agree timescales and costs, always ensuring best practice in all respects.
  • We will deal with the service providers who transport gas to the end user, ensuring smooth passage of all paperwork required and provision of gas in a timely manner.

We work with the Gas Network Operators constantly and can deal with all your needs for gas provision to large or small projects.
